This past Saturday, On The Edge, God F1rst, and I Am Royalty Ministry joined forces to put on the second annual Power of Purity Conference. Power of Purity is a free, all-day conference for teens and young adults who desire to understand what it means to live a life of purity. Over 800 students, young adults, and leaders attended, making it the largest conference put on by On The Edge to date.
Over thirty vendors and resources, both local and abroad, came to help support POP and sell some of their hand-made products. Each vendor also gave away an item to be raffled off throughout the day. From clothing companies, to graphic artists, to non-profit ministries, POP was full of great stuff to check out.
The conference was divided into four sessions. The morning sessions consisted of worship, special musical guests, split men and women teachings, and workshops, while the afternoon session saw spoken word pieces, a combined guys and girls teaching from On The Edge director Aaron Sabio and I Am Royalty co-founder Christina Boudreau, and a time of afterglow and response.
A REVO outreach closed out the night. REVO is a once-a-month outreach for middle and high school students, and young adults who desire to see their community come together and worship as one body. Pastor Josh Black of Calvary Chapel Canyon Hills gave a message on “love in chemicals”, an inside look at the physical response of falling in love. In a time of reflection, students came to ask for prayer and healing from previous traumatic circumstances and habitual sin, and were restored by the Holy Spirit.
God did a mighty work in hundreds of people this past Saturday. Chains of bondage and addiction were broken, hearts were restored, and some even accepted Christ for the first time. It was a day to remember.
